Vintage 1972/73 Motobecane Le Champion original/unrestored – very good condition. From the rare 3TTT stem that had a 22.0 insertion diameter to fit a French threaded fork to the rare Campagnolo Nuovo Tipo hubs with ovalized (not round) holes which were only seen on this model of Motobecane and not available to the public or other bike makers, this bike is original, unrestored and completely rideable! I did replace the rear frayed brake cable and had a NOS rear Universal brake cable hanger that l swapped out for the rusty original one but will gladly include that one if you want it. I will not include the Ideale 80 saddle as it will be used on another project. It will be replaced with a black Brooks B-17 used saddle. Since this bike came from the San Diego area it probably had a Brooks saddle as original equipment attached to an alloy seatpost. 56.5 cm (c-c) seat tube 58 cm (c-t) seat tube 55.5 cm (c-c) top tube 32.75″ stand-over height Listed in Motobecane catalogs as a 23″ size Listed in Motobecane catalogs as weighing 23 # with Mavic Championnat du Monde tubular rims and sew-up tires
